Ilveseretke kokkuvõte

Minu hiljutisel ilveseretkel osales kolm loodushuvilist Ühendkuningriigist, kelle peamine soov oli näha ilvest oma loomulikus elukeskkonnas. Seda gruppi võib julgelt Õnneseenteks nimetada, sest nende kolmepäevane retk osutus erakordselt edukaks.

Juba esimesel õhtul nägime 2,5 tunni jooksul koguni nelja ilvest. Mõlemas vaatluskohas oli kaks looma koos – esimeses kohas kaks täiskasvanud isendit, teises ema koos kutsikaga. Esimene vaatlus oli hinnanguliselt 8 punkti kümnest, pakkudes suurepäraseid vaateid. Viimasel päeval õnnestus veel viivuks märgata ühte ilvest, kuid ta kadus kiiresti võssa.

Lisaks ilvestele pakkus loodus veel palju vaatamisväärset. Kolme õhtu jooksul kohtasime laanepüüsid, händkakku, värbkakku, metskitsi, halljänest, kährikuid, rebaseid ja metssigu. Eriliselt silmapaistev oli põtrade rohkus – keskmiselt kümme looma igal õhtul.

Kogu retk möödus mõnusas tempos ja pakkus osalejatele meeldejäävaid elamusi. Suur tänu kõigile osalejatele ja loodusele nende imeliste hetkede eest!

Lynx Expedition Summary

On my recent lynx expedition, three nature enthusiasts from the United Kingdom participated, with their main wish being to see a lynx in its natural habitat. This group can rightfully be called the Luckies, as their three-day trip turned out to be exceptionally successful.

On the very first evening, we spotted a total of four lynxes within 2.5 hours. In both observation spots, there were two animals together – in the first location, both seemed to be adult individuals, while in the second, we saw a mother with her cub. The first sighting was rated approximately 8 out of 10, providing excellent views. On the last day, we briefly spotted another lynx, but it quickly disappeared into the thicket.

Besides lynxes, nature offered plenty of other fascinating sights. Over the course of three evenings, we encountered hazel grouse, Ural owl, pygmy owl, roe deer, European hare, raccoon dogs, foxes, and wild boars. The abundance of moose was particularly striking – an average of ten animals each evening.

The entire trip was a pleasant and smooth experience, providing participants with unforgettable moments. A big thank you to all the participants and to nature for these incredible experiences!
